We are proud to have 18 Limited Partner (LP) investors participate in our inaugural fund. Our Lead Investors had all known ATO Ventures' Founder and Managing Partner, Jennifer P. Hopp, for several years. They knew of her business acumen, angel record and, in the case of two of them, had invested in her prior companies. For those in Puerto Rico (PR), however, it was a different story. Not only was Jennifer the new girl in town, but so was Venture Capital. At the time, there weren't any traditional style, early stage Venture Capital firms on the island and, to this day, ATO Ventures is the only pre-seed tech fund. For all but one of these PR investors, ATO Ventures marked their first investment in a Private Equity fund. They backed Jennifer because, in addition to seeking financial returns, they are true innovators who know that entrepreneurship holds the key to Puerto Rico's economic future.
